The team, led by biologist Yeison Herrera, plans to establish 25 conglomerates in 5 months started in the Municipality of Aguachica in the Department of Cesar and Culminando in Rionegro, Santander. The conglomerates will provide information on the state of the forests under the registry of variables such as heights, diameters, composition, diversity, detritus and soils, which will be recorded in the databases of the Institute of Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies (IDEAM), who with their work team will carry out the statistical analyses from the data obtained in the field by the different brigades that are currently in each of the biogeographic regions of the country. This analysis will make it possible to identify the current state of Colombia's natural forests in terms of their composition, structure, degradation, and indicators of state, demand and pressure, fundamental for political decision-making, conservation and territorial ordering of the Nation.

"As a brigade, we will have the privilege of working in ancestral territories like San Basilio de Palenque, where we will establish the conglomerate of Mahates"
