Our team working in partnership with the Project Tití Foundation worked on the design, and currently in the implementation of the restoration and monitoring plan for the dry forests of the corridor of Nuevo México, in the municipality of San Juan de Nepomuceno, in the Department of Bolívar.
Also, we initiated the III phase of the project " Socio-ecosystemic Connectivities " for the conservation of the dry forests of the corridors of Bajo Grande and La Espantosa located in the same municipality. To date, we have planned and coordinated the planting of 25,000 native species for the creation of biological corridors that will connect the relicts of existing dry forests, and that is also used by the cotton-top titi. Also, more than 25 local families have been trained in ecological restoration and dry forest conservation. A 38 hectares (94 acres) corridor was intervened with different restoration strategies with community participation.
